Currently, the low-carbon technological upgrade of concrete admixtures mainly focuses on three directions: First, improving water-reducing efficiency by optimizing the molecular structure of admixtures, reducing the dosage, and reducing the amount of cement used, thereby reducing the carbon emissions in concrete production; second, developing admixtures suitable for solid waste admixtures to increase the proportion of fly ash and slag powder in industrial solid waste, replacing part of cement and achieving resource utilization of solid waste; third, researching low-carbon production processes to reduce energy consumption and emissions during the production of admixtures and build a green product system.

For the export market, regions such as the European Union and North America have already launched building carbon emission standards, and low-carbon admixtures will become a stepping stone to enter the high-end market; emerging markets will also gradually follow the requirements for green building materials. Enterprises that have made early preparations for low-carbon technology research and development will have a competitive advantage in the future global competition.
