Construction Plan for Slow Setting of Large Volume Concrete in High Temperature Environments

We specialize in the research, development, and global supply of concrete admixtures, offering proven, stable product formulations and customized solutions tailored to diverse climatic conditions, project types, and construction requirements. Below are typical application scenarios and performance validation results for our core products. All data is derived from standard laboratory testing, compatible with regional cement and aggregate characteristics, providing reliable technical support for overseas projects.

Applicable products: Retarding Water Reducer

Core pain points: During summer high-temperature construction and long-distance transportation, the slump loss of concrete is rapid, and it is prone to premature setting; for large-volume concrete, the heat of hydration is concentrated, which easily causes temperature cracks and affects the durability of the structure.

Solution: By combining the retarder function component with the efficient water-reducing component, while ensuring the water-reducing efficiency, the setting time of concrete can be reasonably extended, the peak of water hydration heat release can be delayed, and the internal temperature stress can be reduced. The amount of retarder component can be flexibly adjusted according to the construction temperature and transportation duration.

Core performance indicators:

Safety: Non-toxic, non-flammable, non-corrosive, and maintains stable morphology.

Steel Protection: Contains zero or negligible chlorine ions, ensuring no corrosion to reinforcement bars.

Low Alkali: Na_2SO_4 \le 18\%. Low alkali content prevents Alkali-Aggregate Reaction (AAR).

Workability & Strength: * Water Reduction: \ge 10\%. Significantly increases flowability with a slump of 180mm–220mm.

Slump Retention: Minimal to zero slump loss over time.

Strength Boost: Increases 3-day strength by 20%–35%, 7-day by 15%–35%, and 28-day by 10%–30%.

Cement Saving: Saves 7%–20% of cement while maintaining constant strength.

Setting Time: Extends setting time by 2–15 hours (or longer). Retardation can be customized through testing based on client requirements.

Pumpability: Air content < 4.5%, improving workability for easier pumping.

Durability: Significantly reduces the heat of hydration and delays the exothermic peak. This helps control thermal cracking, enhances density, and improves long-term durability.

Applicable engineering types: Large-volume piers, dams, bridge foundation piles, summer construction projects in tropical/subtropical regions
